If there's one thing we take for granted, it's our shoulders. That is until they begin to hurt, and we realize we should have taken better care of them all along. There are many things that can cause that pain, but over using your shoulder or using your shoulder in ways you usually don't use them are the leading causes of shoulder injuries.
Of course, it is tempting, after sustaining a shoulder injury, to go to a medical doctor, but that's not the best thing you can do. When was the last time you went to your physician and it didn't end with them either prescribing medication to you, sending you to a specialist who then prescribed medication to you, or testing you for something and then giving you medication? Seems like the medical system is a little too reliant on the pharmaceutical system, rather than getting to the source of your pain, to stay in business.
Though, the one thing the won't do is address the underlying cause of that shoulder pain, which is usually do to posture and poor body mechanics due to a misalignment in the spine. That can be the result of the position of the head being altered, thus causing one shoulder to become lower than the other. This postural imbalance can then lead to the overused or unusual activity of one of the shoulders.
Though, the underlying cause of one's shoulder pain, which is the poor positioning of the head on the shoulder, can be reversed by simply realigning the head with the body. That means realigning the upper cervical spine, which are the top two vertebrae in the spine, so the body can be in complete alignment. This will allow the body to begin to heal itself.
